Top 8 present ideas for toddlers – what Santa is bringing my 20 month old.
Toddlers can be hard to buy for, especially if you are not around them every day. They grow so fast and are into new things every day so it can be hard to keep up.
This is my toddlers list of things she would love Santa to bring and also some of her favourite toys that I know would be great for gifts for other toddlers. Poppy will be 21 months old for Christmas so these gifts are based on that age group.
I will provide links to the items listed on Amazon. We paid for our daughters Christmas presents with Amazon vouchers earned through swagbucks and you can read how to do that here.

1.) Dolls pram.
We got Poppy this Silver Cross dolls pram and you can buy it here at a bargain price.
This is a must for our little one as we are expecting baby number 2 soon and we have been recently trying to get her used to babies.
2.) Little figures.
Most toddlers at this stage love their little figures; at a play date recently Poppy and her toddler friends were fighting over a certain paw patrol figure they all wanted to play with so we decided Santa had to bring her her own set. They will fit perfectly in her hands and I know she will love lining them up in a row and carrying them around everywhere. You can buy them here.
Toddlers Poppy’s age are starting to love colouring sessions but Poppy also loves eating the crayons and sucking the felt tip pens. This is why one of these aquadoodles will be excellent for her as she can scribble to her hearts content with no mess or an upset stomach. You can buy one here.
4.) Mr and Mrs Potato head.
Poppy loves watching toy story, it is a film she will actually sit and watch the whole of – brilliant for a tired pregnant mummy to get some jobs done or horizontal parenting in. As she is just starting to learn what eyes, ears and noses are these are brilliant to help her learn the parts of a face whilst having fun too. You can buy them here.
5.) A dinosaur book.
Poppy loves reading books and I wanted to get her a special book for when I am feeding the baby that we could go through together. This book is perfect for this and she loves dinosaurs which is why Santa is bringing it for her this year. You can buy it by clicking this link.
What toddler doesn’t like chocolate? I always had this selection box as a child and it became a tradition and I would like to continue that tradition for my children. You can buy the selection box that I bought in bulk here if you have more than one to buy for.
7.) Mega Bloks.
Poppy already has these but they are one of her favourite toys right now. She loves stacking the blocks and they are great for her developing motor control. Would be a perfect gift for a toddler.
8.) Homemade playdough.
My recipe can be found here. Poppy loves playdough and I will be making her a blob of green and red playdough especially for Christmas.
Christmas can be financially challenging and stressful which is why I am very happy I managed to earn an extra £200 to cover it. I explain in this blog post how I did that.
Try to remember all toddlers really want is someone to play with, Poppy will probably rather play with the box her toys come in so you don’t need to spend a fortune on Christmas.
